iOS Tutorial – Creating a Splash Screen

Create a Splash ScreenThe first thing you see with a lot of iPhone apps, when they launch, is a splash screen.  So creating our own splash screen will be a great place to start off this series of tutorials.

Splash screens are the “title page” of your app. While, at times, it will display the name of the app, more often than not, it displays the company that created the app. Or it’ll do both. You may have also noticed that several splash screens will allow you to tap to skip ahead to the next screen. iOS App Development for True Beginners

iOS App DevelopmentWe mentioned in our redesign announcement, that we created this blog to “inform others about things we’ve learned in design and development of Websites, Apps, and Widgets”. One of these things we’d like to inform others about is iOS app development for true beginners.

Our Website Has A New Design

Today we’re launching the new look for the Cone Code Development website to make room for a new service and our new blog.  We’ve updated the colors, change the images, and under the hood we’ve even switched to HTML5.

With this redesign we’re also announcing our Web Hosting service that is now available.  Every page on the Internet needs a place to live, so we now offer low priced hosting plans to house your website.  Check out our Web Hosting page for more information.

Then of course there is this new Blog.  We recently decided we needed a place to announce new products, show off upcoming designs, and inform others about things we’ve learned in design and development of Websites, Apps, and Widgets.

We hope you enjoy the new look and find our future posts to be informative and fun to read.
